Calendar Clings are reusable stickers made with a static cling material that can be used on a smooth surface (acrylic, whiteboard, plastic, glass, etc.). Each activity icon was custom drawn out in Illustrator by our designer, Lisa, to be printed on this reusable material for you. These clings can be used with monthly, or weekly, calendars so kids and parents can quickly see the activities. The reusable material gives you the ability to move and reuse each sticker over and over again. Our Calendar Clings can be paired with a smooth surface calendar purchased elsewhere or by purchasing our digital blank calendar. The digital calendar can be printed at your local printer and put in a picture frame. The clings can be placed on the smooth glass surface of the picture frame.

These stickers are great to be used with paper monthly or weekly calendars that are recycled after use. Our Calendar Stickers can be paired with paper calendars purchased elsewhere or by purchasing our digital blank calendar. The digital calendar can be printed at your local printer and hung however you choose. The Calendar Stickers can be placed where needed on your calendar.

Each family is unique and to help meet each family’s needs we put a lot of thought into our different categories and sheets. Because every family looks, and acts, so differently we wanted to keep them in sheets so you can build and buy sheets based on your specific needs. We know that you may not need everything we have and may need some we haven’t created yet. You can submit a request for an icon here and we hope to build out as many requests as possible.
Fern Family wanted to provide your family as many different options so you could figure out a system that works best. Some families already use an acrylic calendar or a paper calendar system. Fern Family gives you the option to take what you have and take it to the next level of organization and easy visibility or ways to start our system if this is a new concept for your family.
Here are some pros and cons of the different options to help you decide which set to get:
Pros - reusable for years, one time purchase, easy to clean, works with already purchased smooth surface calendar
Cons - more expensive, less options (for now!)
Pros - inexpensive, more activity icon options, great starter option to figure out your family system, works on already purchased paper calendar
Cons - can’t be used again, not easily moved once placed, would need to buy new stickers for each month
Pros - Access to every digital icon, can customize every detail of the calendar before sending it to print
Cons - Need to be a little tech savvy and use Canva to edit the calendar, have to print off a calendar each month on your owner here.
This system has been a game changer for us. All 3 options start on a different path but give you the same end goal of a beautiful and functional calendar for your family which results in less meltdowns and conflict. Who doesn’t want that??
Here is every icon custom drawn out in Illustrator by our designer, Lisa, and all of these are available with the Canva Digital Template. We tried to think of every case scenario a family would need but after hours and hours of drawing, we knew we wouldn’t be able to keep up. We’ve already though of a few that we can’t believe we missed and want to draw out as soon as possible.
Starting Fern Family was a huge personal investment and we were not able to print all of the available options designed for the Canva Digital Calendar on our Calendar Clings and Calendar Stickers. We hope to keep expanding and growing this idea soon.
Please fill out our request form here if there is an icon you would like to see in the future.
There are a lot of beautiful, minimalist calendars in a great price range on the market already. We won't go this route unless we feel we have a new idea to bring to the market.
Here is an article on our Fern Favorites and where we got our different products.
If your window clings won't stick anymore, they're not defective, they just need to be cleaned. Cling material tends to collect dust on the back once it's been removed from a surface. Even a small amount of dust can prevent the cling from sticking, but once it's been cleaned, it's as good as new once again!
Put a little warm water in the sink or a bowl, along with a squirt of dish soap. Add the clings, then swish the water around a bit. If the clings are visibly dirty, rub the dirt off with a paper towel or a cleaning cloth. Rinse the clings in clean warm water, gently shake off the excess water, then set them face down on a towel until they're dry.
Do not use sharp objects to add or remove the clings from the smooth surface. Doing so can poke a hole through the cling.
